RULES & REGULATIONS
1.) Entries are allowed from Nacogdoches County residents only. Entry cards must be turned into the Ag Mechanic
Committee by Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 6 p.m.
2.) Entries previously entered in the Piney Woods Fair Project Show will not be eligible.
3.) Entries must have been completed since the previous year’s show.
All entries must be certified and under supervision of
Ag Teacher or County Extension Agent prior to show.
4.) Projects will be judged on points:
A.) Workmanship

B.) Sound Structural Design &
Balance 25
E.) Originality

C.) Degree of Difficulty

F.) Appropriate Finish

5.) FFA, FCCLA, or 4-H show cards must be on each exhibit showing the
name or names of the students who built the
project and the name of the chapter. All names on projects will be removed
during judging.
6.) If for sale, a minimum price must be exhibited.
7.) There will be six (6) divisions in which projects may be entered:

Livestock Equipment and Agricultural Machinery
B.)
Home and Yard conveniences
C.)
Woodwork Projects
D.)
Bar-B-Que Pits and Smokers
E.)
Wildlife
F.)
Trailers - Single axle, tandem axle
8.) In case of tie, the judge will make the final tie-breaking decision.
9.) Blue & Red Ribbon items will be sold at auction October 13, 2007,
4-6 p.m. First place plaques will be awarded in
each division. Blue, Red, and White ribbons will be awarded for all other exhibitors entered.
A sweepstakes award will be given to the FFA Chapter or 4-H Group scoring the most points.
Determination of sweepstakes winner will be made by the following formula: Three
(3) points will be
given for a blue ribbon; two (2) points for a red; and one (1) point for a white.
Total points will be
added and then divided by the total number of projects entered plus one.
The chapter or club with the Highest score will be the sweepstakes winner. (You must enter one project in at least 5 of the 6
divisions to be eligible for the Sweepstakes
Award.)
