rules & regulations

1.)    All entries will be subject to the general rules and regulations of the Junior Livestock Show.

2.)    Exhibitor must be a 4-H, FFA or FCCLA member and continuously attend school in Nacogdoches

        County or be home schooled and reside within the boundaries of a school district in Nacogdoches

        County and be at the 12th grade level or below from validation through the end of the show.

3.)    All broilers exhibited October 6 must be brought from the Fair Association at cost. A maximum of

        25 commercial type birds will be banded when purchased.

4.)    All birds, since date of hatch, must have been owned and fed by exhibitor.

5.)    Broiler entries are limited to one pen per exhibitor. Each pen of three birds must pass the sifting committee.

        Each exhibitor may bring three (3) birds plus one designated alternate bird to the sifting and birds can be

        brought one time only.

6.)    Only those birds banded by the PWF will be accepted.

7.)    Exhibitors must keep areas around broiler pen clean, free of excess feed, pails, buckets, etc. Failure to

        comply may result in dismissal from the show. Non-placing pens may be removed once judging is

        complete. All other broilers must be fed and watered until 5 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2007.

8.)    All poultry must be of blue ribbon quality to be eligible to sell.

9.)    Judging will begin at 9 a.m. Friday with the judge placing the sale order with a minimum of 25 pens.

        Reserve and Grand Champions pens will be selected immediately following the show. Sale will be held

        Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 6 p.m.

10.)   All birds in show will remain property of the exhibitor. All no show birds must be removed from the show

         area prior to judging.

11.)   All exhibitors must supply feeders, waterers, and feed.

12.)   Buckles will be awarded to Grand and Reserve Champions.

** Poultry Herdsman minimum 5 pens.
