RULES & REGULATIONS


1.)  All entries will be subject to the general rules of the Junior Livestock Show.


2.)  Exhibitor must be a 4-H, FFA or FCCLA member and continuously attend school in Nacogdoches County or be

       home schooled and reside within the boundaries of a school district in Nacogdoches County and be at the 12th grade

       level or below from validation through the end of the show.


3.)  All Market Goats must have been validated by June 23, 2007 as per show rules. Exhibitors may validate multiple animals.

      Only one goat per exhibitor may be brought to show grounds.


4.)  This division is open to unbred females and wether goats.


5.)  All market goats must be dehorned or have horn tipped prior to tagging and validation. Ends of tipped horns must be larger

      than a dime in diameter.


6.)  All market goats must be slick shorn to the skin above knees and hock joints prior to entering the show for judging.


7.)  WEIGHT LIMIT: Market goats must weigh a minimum of 50 lbs. and cannot weigh more than 130 lbs (with a five

       pound tolerance)

8.)  CLASSES: Market goats will be divided into classes as evenly as possible by weight with a minimum of 12 head per

      class immediately after the official weigh-in.


9.)  All entries except goats selected for Premium Sale will be released immediately following the show.


10.) Junior showmanship will be held for exhibitors 9-13 years old. Senior showmanship will be held for exhibitors 14 years

       and over as of date of the show. Showmanship will be a jackpot with a $5 entry fee. Pay 2 places for Jr. & Sr. showmanship.

       (Only animals entered may be shown). Pee Wee Showmanship: All exhibitors must be able to lead the animal into the show ring.

       Only goats entered in the show may be used for the Pee Wee Showmanship.

11.) Judging will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday concluding with the selection of Grand and Reserve Champions, followed by sale order

       selection. The Premium Sale will be held Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 6 p.m.
