RULES & REGULATIONS

1.)  All Piney Woods Fair Livestock Show rules apply to this Lamb Show.

2.)  Exhibitor must be a 4-H, FFA or FCCLA member and continuously attend school in Nacogdoches County or be home

      schooled and reside within the boundaries of a school district in Nacogdoches County and be at the 12th grade level or below

      from validation through the end of the show.

3.)  Lambs must be owned and validated on June 23, 2007.

4.)  Any breed or cross, Ewe or Wether, will be allowed to show. Only one lamb per exhibitor may be brought to the show grounds.

5.)  Lambs weighing less than 100 lbs. or more than 150 lbs (with a 5 lb tolerance) at show weigh-in will be sifted. Sifted lambs must be

      removed from the grounds after weigh in.

6.)  Lambs must be shorn no more than 5 days prior to show with hair coat no longer than 1/4 inch long at show. (slick shorn)

7.)  Classes will be broken by weight and posted following the weigh in.

8.)  Junior showmanship will be held for exhibitors 9-13 years old. Senior showmanship will be held for exhibitors 14 years and over

      as of date of show. Showmanship will be a jackpot with a $5 entry fee. Pay 2 places for Junior and Senior Division . (Pee Wee

      Showmanship:  All exhibitors must be able to lead their lamb into the show arena. Pee Wee Showmanship ribbons will be awarded

      after show. Only lambs entered in the show may be used for Pee Wee showmanship.

9.)  Contestants must be able to maintain control of their animal at all times in and out of show ring.

10.) No altering of hair coat, by paint, powder or artificial coloring. No top knots on head.

11.)  Shavings will be purchased from Expo Center. No other type of bedding will be allowed.

12.) Judging begins at 1 p.m., Friday concluding with the selection of Grand and Reserve Champions followed by sale order selection.

       The Premium Sale will be held Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 6 p.m.

13.)  Health Papers must be presented at weigh-in.
